Luxury Destinations - Paris - Great Value For Money

The thought of finding the right accommodation didn't seem too herculean a task for me, hence. Cabs and the metro, the good thing is that everyplace/street or arrondissement in Paris is well connected by bus. And the overall ambience, the beautiful and petite Parisian women, shopping for designer clothes (my wife's favorite pastime), the free-flowing champagne, the intoxicating taste of red and white wine, the city holds a special place in my travel diary because of the mighty Eiffel Tower. Paris here I come!

Budget and economy class and then there are the service apartments as well as private homes, which can be categorized as premium, now Paris has hotels. So that I could have my share of silence, my motto was to find a nice little shack in a good neighborhood. I over-looked the conveniently located 5-star accommodations, since my budget was not really high. Paris has different types of accommodations to offer, being one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and being the capital of France.

Mine was a double room with a bathroom and it cost me 75 Euros per night but it was a revealing experience. A lady in her early 50's with graying hair and a pleasant smile who served me warm vegetable soup with baguette followed by red Camargue rice salad and homemade and exquisite raspberry liquor, i also had the opportunity to stay at Camille's home. Most of these homes are owned by retired people or pensioners who cook delicious meals and love the company of people from different parts of the world. The private homes are a great place to stay for individual travelers and especially women.

A studio apartment near Champs de Mars would have cost me 1300 a week but somehow I thought I would spend the money saved sipping wine by the river and enjoying the idea of life being wonderful and that's exactly what I did! ). Linen and towels (I am a cleanliness freak, a fully furnished kitchen (I liked the idea of eating out - maybe I was too lazy to cook) and above all sparkling clean bed sheets, wIFI access, alarm clock, stereo player, i had every facility I could think of at my disposal from cable TV to DVD! I chose an apartment with 1 bedroom in the vicinity of Saint Germain Des Pres in the 6th arrondissement and paid 1040 for the week. Apartments with 1-4 bedrooms and all this in the suburbs or anywhere within the 20 arrondissement in Paris, you can have a studio apartment. Vacation rentals offer great value for money.
